There are several possible causes for this;

I called this Long Frickin Downhill because that is what it is. This ride is a total mission that we only ride like maybe 1-2 times a year. It starts off at 9300ft and drops to 2700ft (6500ft of vertical). I think it is over 45 miles or so. There are a lot of trails that are combined into this ride so here is what our ride consisted of. It is a shuttle ride so you have to park a truck at Sand Bar Flat Campground as well as the Gargoyles. This is like 2+ hours of shuttle time first of all. We left at like 7am and didn't start pedalling till 10am or so. Climb from Gargoyles to Eagle Peak, then dowhill to Willow Creek, downhill to Dome, downhill to Lower PCP, downhill to Southfork, flat to Spring Gap, downhill to Sand Bar downhill. It is such a crazy amount of riding that on this particular ride we ran out of light in the day. The riders included Stoker, Pankey, Bobby, and the infamous Winkles. Winkles only made it to the Strawberry Store and had to call mommy to pick him up. He crashed a few times and was bleeding and tired. But such a good ride.... The photos were taken with the GoPro helmet cam and i only kept 200 of the 5000 photos taken.
